Realtors association: 79% can afford a home

Nearly four of every five households in the Sacramento region could afford an entry-level home in the fourth quarter of last year, according to data released Friday from the California Association of Realtors. The association’s first-time homebuyer index showed an estimated 79 percent can afford a home, a slight increase from a year ago, when the index stood at 76 percent.
